Turkish Rose Wine

An ancient blue-black grape is called Papaskarasi  which means ' The Pope's black' - as the story goes when Eastern Roman Empire's pope ruled from Constantinople, his favourite wines were made from this very grape. Papaskarasi wines are usually medium bodied with high acidity and firm tannins, aromas of spices, black fruits, flowers like violet.
